We’ll be home for Christmas…..
This year we loaded up the truck and headed to Billings, Montana for Christmas! We had a great time. I have never been to Billings so it was a first for me. Chase’s parents have recently moved into a new house so it was way fun to see their new place, see the town, and visit with family. We packed our week vacation with tons; playing in the snow, shopping, going out to eat, taking down decorations, getting caught up on pop culture and watching Mama Mia, (Chase was dying about how the townspeople always show up in scenes to sing…he may not watch tons of musicals), doing back rubs late at night…with Shelby the family massage therapist!, dying hair, going to the movies, catching up on sleep, etc.
One really good story that happened over break happened on Christmas day. I woke up from one of my naps to find the house literally silent. Somewhat confused on where everyone could have gone, I found the party going on outside…Chase and his sisters were working on a snow jump, and Maesa was using her new skates out on the skating pond in the backyard. I decided to put my boots on and go out. Thank goodness Chase’s mom caught me getting ready and told me to put some snow pants over my pajama pants. I was thinking I would just be out for a few minutes, and I didn’t think any pants would fit over my belly, so I was not planning on trying on pairs to wear some out in the cold! Thank goodness I did! I found a pair that fit and wore them out. After an hour or so outside; we decided to all come back in. We were walking on the pond to come back in the house…chase and Maesa were in front of me…and with a step about a foot away from where chase had stepped I planted my foot and fell through the ice! Yes…thank goodness for those snow pants!! With a little yell of Chase! He turned around as I fell through. Thank goodness it wasn’t super deep…but I was sinking and in their efforts to get me out chase and his sister Kendra also ended up falling in.
I guess 6 months pregnant made me a little heavier than I thought!
Anyways with Chase in the pond… he pushed me out and Kendra and Shelby pulled me out. I couldn’t stop laughing…but thanks to those snow pants I barely got wet!
Anyways we had tons of fun…here are a few pics from the trip.

Wasn't that water freezing? What a crazy story! Your condo looks great too!
Wow I'm not sure I could recover from falling through the ice. That's one of my worst fears!
