Fall happenings with our girls

Recently celebrating holidays has become much more exciting for our family now that Sadie is understanding so much more. Her excitement about everything makes it so much more rewarding! So anyone reading my blog wondering when it gets easier...in my opinion....this age doesn't make it easier work wise but brings more fun to life. Sadie gets up every morning and asks if we can go to a halloween party today. We got to celebrate at a church party, work party, and the actual day of trick or treat. As you can see in the pictures; we sported multiple costumes this year. I made the mistake of buying on halloween morning costumes for next year (with old navy going 75% off who can resist). Sadie saw this and wore her new cupcake out of the store. Which she still wears every few days.We started a tradition last year to do a reverse trick or treat and we did that this year with the girls and they loved it. We took spider oreo treats to our friends and family. By the last stop some of the treats went missing so Manda and Ben only ended up with one spider...Sadie got hungry I guess. But either way it was a success and the rest of the festivities were equally fun. She is already talking about Christmas and has started picking out gifts for family members. She is turning out to be so thoughtful and interested in others. We attempted family pictures the other week and with all of them taken, we ended up with one that would work for our Christmas card. We feel lucky for that too! Every day that we put it off put me closer to the mindset "if it doesn't happen who cares". But Thank goodness we got through it and it was funny that the best picture we got didn't have sadie in it. We had a special morning with her and cooperating with the camera. But in her defense there were hundreds of ducks surrounding us and pretty much took all the attention any two year old would have. So we are happy with what we got. SO happy FAll!! Looking forward to Christmas here!!
