mr. & mrs. big....setting up married life

Wow...so after a short four month hiatus...I have taken up my long lost passion of blogging. So not to shock you all but this particular post is going to be about married life, seeing as it is I got married 3 weeks ago. Having a short but so far great experience of marriage, shockingly everyday I find another reason to why I absolutely love being married. Here are a few.... 1. I am on a permanent date with my best friend without the pressure, sweating, trying to impress someone, or wondering if you will be able to make it through the night/ see the person again/ or if he could be the one. See I'm already with the one...so that's the greatest thing about it all. An example of my permanent date...this morning I woke up excited to do hip hop abs. OF course I knew chase would get a kick out of this....and he even agreed to do it with me. so as I learned to dance from Brittney spear's back up dancer...my husband stood next to me for about 20 seconds...laughed hysterically with me as I tried to make him dance...he claimed he doesn't have my level of hand eye coordination to keep up...only to make breakfast and smile at me as I continued to progress in my secret dream of being an mtv dancer. see all the greatness of a date; didn't even need to put on make up, make sure I had gum close, or care if my outfit looked good, etc. 2. I becomes a WE- As independent as I am, I love to need someone. It’s like a whole different part of me that has been suppressed these last few years as I became to find being content on my own. Now it’s like every time you go up to bat, you know you can look back and you have this great cheerleader that will smile no matter if you strike out or hit a grand slam. It’s the greatest.

3. For me, the best part of being married is having an example that makes me want to be a better person but constantly makes me feel as if he is the lucky one to be with me. It’s like the bargain of a lifetime…both sides think they get the better end of the deal, but I think I have more experience in bargain hunting and I know I got the better end of it. What a blessing chase has been in my life, truly eight months ago I didn’t know this type of happiness existed.

There are so many more, but those are a few on my never ending list. It’s nice to settle down...the past months have been crazy for us as we finally have found some time to breathe and become comfortable “married”. AS the wedding plans got started, chase started a new job, job changes happened for me, it all sometimes got wound up in one whirlwind of “busyness”. As the day came around we were both excited for it to finally happen. It came and went, perfect as it could be. I put a few pictures up of our wedding day and fun stuff since we have gotten married…

Sorry to disappoint any of you that planned on Carrie Bradshaw continuing her wild dating life...but as fun and entertaining those episodes could be..I promise it’ll be just as if not more with Mr. and Mrs. Big.

I am glad to see that the bathroom situation has not changed. It still looks like my side on the right and yours on the left! Love ya!
