"news" in my life.

So today is the 23rd of May, we've been married almost one whole month. On top of that, we have our last wedding celebration this weekend! We are so excited to go to Portland...not so much for the drive, but Chase assures me I'll sleep most of the way. I am not so sure about that. ... Lots has changed and still is changing in life...so I thought I would fill in by making a list of a few new things we've been up to 1. Sleep....lately I have started a new habit...sleeping. For those of you that know me, this has not been something that I have placed on any sort of priority in life. So when I come home from work, and I crash at 6:30 for a few hours…I love it. It’s amazing and has changed my life. Although I don’t look at this thinking it’s going to be a habit that will stay for long, but it’s nice every now and then.

2. New sports- Coming from a family of all girls, sporting events have been not as frequent as most families, but chase recently started his summer league softball league. So how lucky am I! I really do enjoy watching him play. He loves it, and I love the food coupons we got when chase was named mvp of the game last week. pretty sweet deal for me! anyone who helps me get coupons is a definite keeper in my book.

3. Target verses Wal-Mart: because of my deal obsession, I find myself to have been a Wal-Mart shopper in the past. Now with all the target gift cards (which we have loved and supported us so thank you!) we have become target shoppers! Target is great...

4. projects- decorating is not a strong point for me, but constant thought of rearranging is on my mind. For example we will be watching a TV show and I’ll be looking around the room wondering if it’s even, awkward looking, etc.

5. Job…. As some of you may know, my boss took a job at Goldman Sachs recently which defiantly has created change. I knew everything would work out, but got impatient not knowing what I should or wanted to pursue. Out of the blue the other day I was offered a position working with another department that by no means am I qualified for with a very modest pay increase. It’s an opportunity of a lifetime, and more money… so in turn more we can save for a house. And the sooner I can be a full time stay at home mom with no children. Chase laughs when I joke about this, but he knows I’m serious. So in the near future I will make the transition to be a portfolio analyst for the finance and legal departments of the church. It will be a challenge but the opportunity is such a blessing and we are so grateful.

6. Weight… I don’t know why marriage is attached with gaining weight sometimes…but I have gained about 2 pounds that will not come off no matter what. I can’t complain, I mean my horrible nightly caramel popcorn and snack habits are still very much so alive, (so tons of snacks and more sleeping is a great combination for weight gain).

7. Guitar…I didn’t know it but I am living with a rock star. Yes my husband (who truly is a musical genius among many other things) has recently taken up the guitar. We got a steal on one on our last date when we went to the mall so I could check out the Victoria secret semi annual sale. But yes, I have a concert going on at any time. So I am growing my hair out…getting ready to take up another career choice as a band groupie/wife/manager in case chase joins a rock band in the near future.

8. No phone…this is big news actually. I know, it’s a shock but totally true. My cell phone doesn’t charge. I am ready for that kick to end. My dad is going to bring out a new battery for me this weekend.

9.

More to come

Listen, now that you said 'thank you' to all the people who gave you Target gift cards, you won't have to write them out thank you cards! Their loss if they don't read your blog. I love to sleep too, I should do it more.
