This past month, chase and I have practicing for our dream of being on the amazing race. It hasn't been as intense as the show and we have showered, so really not that similar. But still just as fun.
Friday we left Provo for our last wedding celebration in Hillsboro Oregon. I wasn't sure if I would fit in my dress, but thankfully it zipped up. I joked with chase's uncle that on every anniversary I am going to put my wedding dress on....we'll see how long that works for.
Chase picked me up from work on Friday and we started our road trip to Oregon. It was tons of fun. I actually enjoy car rides with Chase. We hit Pendleton and had a little glitch as we got pulled over. Chase was going 13 or so over the seriously slowest speed limit ever on a freeway of 65. OH geeze... So the officer asked why chase was speeding and I looked at him and told him it was because I asked him to. After about 5 minutes of frustration...and I bought some candy...we had forgotten all about it.
Saturday we went down to the market in downtown Portland. My family and I loved the city. It's a beautiful state. It rains a lot, but for how pretty it is...it's worth it.
The reception was really nice. Lots of people came and it was nice to meet all the people I've heard so much about. My family surprised me bringing out my sister Michelle and her family, so it was neat to have them there. Unfortunately her baby Lauren was sick, but she did pretty well for how bad she was feeling.
All in all, everyone had a blast. I'll post some pictures of our travels...

You really have the hookups with Chase's family! Very beautiful vacation spots all within driving distance. Oregon looks beautiful.

We got a ticket last time we drove through Oregon too! They are stickler there. Your blog is super fun. You two make a cute couple! Hope we get the chance to chat again soon!
MIR!! Hi! I miss you! I'm SO glad that you're back to blogging again!
Who got a ticket? How? Did you forget you know someone in the FBI? J/K, he can't get his own WIFE out of a ticket!
Hey Miriam! I found this while looking at Cami's blog. Your blog is great, and it sounds like you're really happy, which is of course also great. It's too bad I didn't know you were in Portland, we live here for the summer. It would've been fun to meet each others husbands.
