fathers day....

So I know it's late, but I really can't go without at least writing a little something about my dad as father's day was yesterday. If anyone knows my dad or has a dad like mine they sleep at night knowing how blessed they truly are. Growing up, I wasn't always aware of this. I figured everyone had a dad like mine; someone who painted our nails, came to school with me when I was "failing" high school chemistry, stood by my side as trouble found me time and time again through my elementary days and into high school, joined weight watchers with my mom and I to support us, truly has been my dilemma go to man for 23 years, lets me still beat him in poker, helped me out financially in many ways, helps take care of a car when something accidentally was in the way while i was driving, etc. ...but as I have grown up I have realized the rare man that my family had been blessed with as a dad. I can say in all honesty Russ has never let me down. He has been the person to catch me countless times as I have been on my way to falling and picked me up to stitch me back together (literally sometimes) when he has found me in pieces. So Happy Father's Day to all those who are dads, have been blessed with great dads, and guys that will be dads.
