8.8.08 party.....

this last weekend...we had a party celebrating 8.8.08. Marcia came into town with some friends, so it was a joint, welcome Marcia and the 8 theme. We had such a blast...we did fondue, watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics, finally met Benjamin Jean Jumper...Manda's latest man that she has only spoken about and i was starting to wonder if he was real, played apples to apples..and just hung out. Prior to the party, chase and I had another adventure....Chase bought a pair of riding, yes riding pants. Now supposedly with these pants, it's better for riding because #1 they look cool, #2 you don't get as sweaty. So chase bought these pants online, the only problem is when we got them in the mail, they were tapered and hit his mid calf with ELASTIC....so basically intended for someone 5,4" and i guess made for riding boots to go over them so maybe that's why they had the elastic? not so sure....but more importantly chase was very disappointed. The package that he checked the mail for since monday arrived THursday finally and was not exactly what he was waiting for. We decided we would go to joanne's to find some fabric to match the pants to revamp and do our own design...Shockingly it all worked out. My sewing isn't the greatest, but it works for us. Chase went on a ride in American Fork Canyon on Saturday while me and girl posse did hair all afternoon. He wore the pants and didn't want to take them off. So I am happy his pants worked out. Because for anyone that has ever done internet shopping, returns can be a hassle, headache, and tons of daytime minutes trying to work it all out..so I'm glad he was happy with how they turned out. So happy 8.8.08!! and start of the olympics!! Here are a few pics...
